Ex-LMS Class 5 4-6-0s 44871 + 45407 are here seen crossing Cynghordy Viaduct on 12th May 2012 with the ‘Central Wales Explorer’ which was steam hauled from Newport to Shrewsbury.  The Central Wales line runs from Swansea to Craven Arms, south of Shrewsbury, through very attractive but sparsely populated Welsh countryside.  This viaduct is on the 1 in 60 climb from Llandovery to the summit at Sugar Loaf.
