The evening sunlight catches ex-LNER ‘K4’ Class 2-6-0 No. 61994 ‘The Great Marquess’ as it crosses Frodsham Viaduct with the returning ‘Welsh Mountaineer’ from Blaenau Festiniog to Preston on 21st August 2012. The 3-cylinder ‘K4’ Class was designed by Gresley in 1937 for use in Scotland on the West Highland line.
