NTH6 illustrates the return run over Ais Gill on the ‘Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express’ on 28th January 2012 with Nos. 44871 + 45407.  This train was routed on its outward journey over the 1 in 75 climb to Shap Summit and is seen here near the start of the climb at Greenholme, laying a trail of steam in the still winter air which ultimately stretched the entire length of the 4 mile climb.
