‘N15’ ‘King Arthur’ Class 4-6-0 30451 ‘Sir Lamorak’ passes through Berrylands station with the 08.46 Salisbury – Waterloo in the spring of 1962. The lines out of Waterloo were protected with these 4-aspect colour light signals, most of which were triggered automatically as trains progressed. The down signals at Berrylands usually remained at the double-amber aspect until a pathway was cleared at Surbiton approaching the crossover from main to local line.
