Whilst some double-headed combinations are authentic to those in the days of normal steam operation (such as in SW15), modern trips can feature more unlikely combinations.  Here we see Ex-SR ‘Battle of Britain’ Class 4-6-2 No. 34067 ‘Tangmere’ plus ex-BR ‘Britannia’ Class 4-6-2 No. 70013 ‘Oliver Cromwell’ storming to the summit of the 1 in 42 bank to Hemerdon, shortly after leaving Plymouth with the Railway Touring Company  ‘Royal Duchy’ on 5th May 2012.  Unlike with the summer schedule, this train was hauled by these locomotives from Penzance to Bristol, the train having been worked down to Penzance diesel hauled.
