Southern Railway ‘King Arthur’ Class 4-6-0 No.777 ‘Sir Lamiel’ is passing through Hexham with the ‘Northern Belle’ from Newcastle to Carlisle on 20th August 1984. The signal box on a gantry spanning the track was very characteristic of this location.
