On 10/05/14, the day after the commemorative run to Plymouth by sister engine 5029, ex-GWR ‘Castle’ Class 4-6-0 5043 ‘Earl of Mount Edgcumbe’ also ran an anniversary  trip, ‘One Zulu 48’, from Plymouth to Bristol and Oxford. An attempt was made to emulate 7029 ‘Clun Castle’s non-stop run to Bristol in 1964, enabled by the use of the water carrier and requiring the co-operation of Network Rail and First Great Western. It is here seen at speed passing Cogload Junction, and it eventually reached Bristol in 130 minutes from Plymouth, slightly faster than 7029 had run  the same route in 1964.
