At Perth, ex-LNER ‘K1’ Class 2-6-0 62005 was attached to the train with ex-LMS ‘Class 5’ 4-6-0 45212 to assist with the tortuous grades on the former Highland mainline to Inverness.  It is here charging up the 1 in 70 gradient through the Drumochter Pass.  The relatively dry River Garry is symptomatic of the dry spring in Scotland.
